Hook Line & Tinker

Founded by Laurie Dolhan in Halifax in 2017, Hook Line & Tinker creates embroidery kits that embrace the joy of making, creative imperfection, and slowing down with something made by hand. Every original pattern is designed by Laurie, with playful motifs and thoughtfully chosen colour palettes inspired by her love of fibre arts. The kits are produced in small batches in their Halifax studio using preprinted 100% cotton fabric, and range from first-stitch friendly designs to projects for more ambitious beginners.

Care for the community and the planet is woven into the brand. Each kit comes in lightweight, plastic-free packaging, production waste is upcycled, and a minimum of 5% of profits is donated to organizations helping women and children experiencing homelessness. The result is a collection made to encourage creativity, learning, and a little calm along the way.
