Putting the Workshop back into Workshop

Those of you who have been with us since the beginning of the crazy and fabulous journey we like to call shop ownership will remember back in 2005 when half of our shop was a functioning studio space where we would sew and knit and stay (relatively) trouble-free…

At some point, our little shop needed to grow so we moved our studios back into our homes, but we have often looked back nostalgically at those old days and this year, we’ve decided to go back to our roots!

So…the big reveal: We will be closing Workshop between January 20th – 31st to put on old jeans, turn up the music and take up hammers and drills to renovate our little baby (who is now almost 9 years old…eek!) and turn 1/3 of the shop space into a fully functional studio, complete with sewing table and silkscreening lab! ¬†We plan to use this space to bring you our own in-house collection. Excited?? Us too.

So – it will be the best of both worlds: the same great made-in-Canada shop you’ve always known and loved PLUS a fun and bright (spoiler alert: yellow is the new turquoise!) studio space where we can make pretty things. (-:

Plan to come down to the Market and visit our new project on Saturday, Feb 1st, when we re-open. We can’t wait to share it with you!
